I recently stayed at this charming family-run bed and breakfast for two nights. The hosts, Sir and Lady, were fantastic and even went above and beyond by picking us up from Giants Causeway to ensure we made our dinner reservation. The breakfast was fabulous and the house felt like a museum, with its historic details and stories to tell. It truly was a unique and delightful experience.

    Would definitely recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing stay at this charming country house. the warm Irish welcome from the owners made me feel right at home. the comfortable room provided a restful night's sleep, and the delicious breakfast served in the beautiful dining room was a delightful start to the day. I also enjoyed exploring the picturesque gardens and grounds surrounding the property.

The water temperature in the bathroom was not consistently hot during my visit.

I had the pleasure of staying at a very old mansion set in a quiet and peaceful location. the history behind the place was a delightful surprise, with a castle ruin that guests could explore. the host was friendly and provided lots of information about the family's rich history. Eating in the dining room felt like being in a museum, and the included breakfast was truly fantastic. it was a unique and unforgettable experience. Cons: Everything about my stay was great! 😊.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the surrounding area, especially the Giant's Causeway. It provided a peaceful and quiet haven away from the crowds. the breakfasts at the hotel were excellent, offering a variety of options including fresh fruit and a cooked Irish breakfast. the dining room where breakfast was served was absolutely magnificent.

this is something that can be expected in an old house. The lights around the bed were not well placed for bedtime reading, which was a small inconvenience.

We had a fantastic time at Ballylough House! the house itself is steeped in history and absolutely beautiful. You can feel the nostalgia as soon as you step inside. There are fascinating memorabilia throughout the property and the grounds are simply stunning. the hosts, David and June, were incredibly warm and generous. June's welcoming tea and homemade scones made us feel at home right away. David's knowledge of the Traill family history was mind-blowing and we had some amazing conversations with him. Our bedroom, 'Shane’s room', had a great size and offered beautiful views of the garden and castle ruins. the super-king bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. the breakfasts were delicious with plenty of options to choose from. the property, food, and hosts were exceptional. A perfect 10/10 experience!

We felt totally at home and had no complaints whatsoever.

I had the most exceptional stay at this grand old mansion. the hosts, June and David, made me feel like I was with an old friend. the mansion is beautifully preserved, with attention to every detail. the peaceful surroundings and quiet nights made for a truly relaxing experience. I also had the opportunity to explore the castle ruin on the property, which was a fascinating glimpse into the past. Dining in the exquisite dining room felt like being in a living museum. And I can't forget to mention the truly fantastic breakfast that was included.

It was a unique and unforgettable stay at Ballylough House.

Our Christmas stay at this charming and historic B&B was absolutely exceptional. the owners, Sir and Lady, were like family, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. They even picked us up from a nearby attraction to make sure we made our dinner reservation on time. the house itself was like a museum, filled with fascinating memorabilia and steeped in history. the breakfast was absolutely fabulous, and we felt like we were in a fairytale with the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As an old country house, the WiFi connection was not flawless, which could be a drawback for some. the bathrooms were not luxurious and the bedrooms were not over-heated, but these are minor inconveniences in exchange for such a unique and personal experience.

Our stay at Ballylough House was a delightful experience. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by June with a refreshing cup of tea and delicious scones. The room, "Shane's room," was cozy and offered a stunning view of the castle ruins. The breakfast served in the drawing room was outstanding, providing the perfect start to our day. We also had the privilege of enjoying a tour of the beautiful grounds. This hidden gem on the Ulster coastline exceeded our expectations.

While our stay at Ballylough House was near perfect, there was a minor issue with the hot water in the shower. However, this did not significantly impact our overall experience.

We had an incredible stay at Ballylough House! The value for our money was exceptional, and our room, "Shane's room," was spacious and had a beautiful view of the castle ruins. The location was peaceful and quiet, and the staff treated us with the utmost warmth and hospitality.
